Geelong Military Re-enactment Group
As a sub-group of the MHSG this group participates in major events such as the Air Shows, Anzac Day, History Comes Alive and other services with re-enactments and displays including mock battles using blank ammunition and pyrotechnics.
Branch meetings are usually held at 7.30pm on the first Friday of each month. Email the Secretary for location and directions if required.
Intending members are asked to attend at least two Branch functions and obtain a recommendation from two financial members before submitting their application for membership to the Branch Secretary. The application is to be then approved by the executive Committee before any fees are due.
Membership is also open to Juniors (under 16 years) members. Members aged 10 to 14 years who wish to participate in the GMRG must have a participating adult member responsible for them in re-enactments.
Membership is $47.00 for an adult, $22.00 of the fee is for insurance, $37 for under 16 years old.
If you have current re-enactment insurance it will only be $25.00. You must forward with your firearms licence a copy of your current insurance card.
The Geelong Military Re-Enactment Groups’ members are bound by the Group’s rules of incorporation and safety guidelines. In addition to these we have a clear policy that does not condone.
- Racist, sexist, abusive or obscene language.
- Inciting arguments or having an aggressive tone.
- Making statements that can be construed as defamatory of an individual, group or business.
- Refer to GMRG and ALHF Safety Rules.
